With the ICC videostreamer you can easily stream videos to our videoservers. All you need is a webcam or simply send a video file from yor harddrive to our servers. Supported formats are:

AVI
MPG
WMV

Most MPEG files can simply be renamed to MPG and are supported as well.

The webcam output will be streamed live.

Manual for the tool:

Short description for the first run:

1. Start the software
2. Fill in all required information (Server Config)
3. Select the desired way of streaming:

-> 1. Stream Video: Send video files from your hard drive. You can also create and save playlists

1.1 Choose the desired files from your pc. Those can be saved as a playlist.
1.2 Click on "Jetzt streamen" to start sending files to the server.


-> 2. Stream Webcam: This mode allows you to stream your webcam capture or tv program live. Remember: The webcam or tv output won't be shown in the window!
! INFO: We recommend to adjust the webcam before you start streaming.

2.1 In the menu "Videoeingänge" you see all video inputs. Those are labeled with numbers.
2.2 In "Video Device" and "Audio Device" you have to select a video and audio input.
2.3 Now click on "Jetzt Streamen" to start streaming to the server.

WARNING!: Live streaming via webcam requires a fast cpu.


4. To stop streaming, click on "Stream stoppen". It may take up to a minute until the streaming is stopped (depending on your processer speed).


!! The debug mode can be used to detect errors. The most common reasons for errors are defect video files, server settings or not supported video formats. !!

5. Closing the software may take several seconds ! Please don't stop this action.

To Do / Bugs:

- It is not possible to see the webcam output while streaming. Please have a look at the status page to view the webcam output.

- Optimizations for the webcam-live-stream

- Converting umlauts. (The stream won't work if there is any umlaut in the file or stream name)
